This magnificent and large Sheng Ca Ci Chang Chinese Porcelain Blue & White Moon Vase or Amphora from the 20th Century is a superb example of traditional Chinese artistry. Its distinctive flattened, disc-like, or "moon" body is profusely adorned with richly blossoming peony flowers and intricate foliage in underglaze blue, set against a pristine white background.
 
The vase stands on a decorated foot, and two elegant blue handles gracefully extend from its shoulders to a narrow, patterned neck. The base bears a reddish script along with the "Sheng Ca Ci Chang" markings, indicating its origin from the renowned kiln.
