A vibrant 1920's ceramic sculpture of a large bowl overflowing with Italian Majolica lemons and their leaves. The lemons are a pale, matte yellow with subtle green undertones, arranged in a bountiful, pyramid-like mound, showcasing both textured and smoother surfaces. Dark green leaves are interspersed among the fruit, adding a realistic touch. Two of the tips of the leaves have slight chips, but these are hardly noticeable. Minor marks and wear are consistent with its age and usage.
The lemons and leaves are permanently fixed within a white, shallow, fluted bowl, which has a subtly textured or basket-weave pattern on its exterior and a slightly scalloped rim. Printed on the base of the ceramic bowl is a circular blue stamp with the text "MADE IN ITALY" and the distinct Capodimonte mark: a centered "N" with a crown image on top. This rustic yet cheerful decorative centerpiece is designed to evoke the freshness of a fruit harvest.
