This tall, slender ceramic vessel is a premier example of the "Bitossi Era" of Italian art pottery. It features a distinctive high-arched "manico" handle that creates a striking architectural silhouette. The exterior is defined by a deeply tactile, ribbed "sgraffito" (incised) texture finished in a vibrant turquoise-teal glaze, with dark accents in the vertical grooves to add depth and mid-century character. This piece is in exceptional, investment-grade condition with no cracks, chips, or the "flea bites" typically found on textured sgraffito pottery. The underside is hand-marked with the series name "MOSAIC ITALY" and the production codes "1303 / 30" (indicating its 30cm height).
The front features a bold, hand-painted geometric pattern, a signature of the "Mosaic" line. Two deep crimson diamonds are centered between four mosaic-like motifs in mustard yellow, forest green, and red. While this style is often associated with the work of Aldo Londi, it is a celebrated production of the Fratelli Fanciullacci factory in Montelupo, Italy. The interior is finished in their trademark smooth, warm terracotta glaze. This is a rare, well-preserved statement piece for the serious collector of vintage European design.
